The Tit for Tat breakthrough.

Money. It seems such an obvious way of making the world go round, that we hardly even question its workings anymore.

Will you do something for me?

Put frankly, money is a physical manifestation of a belief system. Apparently, at some point in our consciousness we believed ourselves to be conditional by nature: ‘if I do something for you, you should something for me in return’. The origin of this belief system stems from the fear that we wouldn’t get anything back. Because we need something in return, right? How else would we be able to stay alive? Now obviously, we would create the world around according to this starting point. And thus also in our money system. Being a means of linearly giving back ‘value’ for goods or services provided, this conditional property is captured within money.

Our true nature?

It might be the right time to reconsider the following: Are we truly conditional by nature? I don’t think so. In fact, I believe that this whole idea runs directly counter to our nature. After all, we all stem from a source that knows no conditionality. Looking for that source in our minds, however, is completely useless. It resides somewhere else. In our hearts, that knows no reciprocity expectations. It’s unconditional by nature, just like a bee that simultaneously extracts the nectar of a flower while pollinating it. Without negotiation. The bee follows the path of nature, and fulfills its role on Earth without questioning, just like the flower does.

And so we humans, have the urge of following natural path. Every single one of us wants to freely develop and share their talents here on Earth. All of us, deeply within, want to fulfill our soul purpose here on Earth without being hindered by anything (money, rules & regulations). A musician wants to be musician, an artist an artist, a doctor a doctor, an engineer an engineer etcetera…

Breaking through the barriers of conditions

I personally believe in the possibility of a world of unconditionally, without the need of money at all. At the same time however, I see that at this perspective might face a lot of fear, scepticism and disbelief. It might just be a too far-fetched future perspective for many of us.

But this conditionality now seems to be holding many from what they truly want to be. Should we stick to it then? I just can’t believe this is the kind of society we are all striving for, right? Just figure how many people want to fulfil their dreams but are afraid of losing the presupposed secureness of money? Or the conditions (i.e. ROI) that our banks impose on these dreams?

So, the question becomes ”Can we somehow surpass this conditional property of money and turn it into an unconditional thing? Can we somehow introduce the notion of unconditionality in our current money system?”

A tough nut to crack. Or is it? The answer might be closer than you think.

Try to answer the following for yourself.

Could you unconditionally put money to the causes and ideals you believe in? Would you be able, no, willing to use your money to support and create space for talents within people to unfold? Without expecting anything in return?

I guess that within this money system, the only ones we can change are ourselves. Because the origin of the system is you. It requires introspective honesty, will & courage to act upon it. It ultimately boils down to the following: can you unconditionally love, without any conditions?

  1. Did it. Thought it would be rewarding. It wasn't. Then i realized it can't because i only put in money. Then decided to focus on love and support some more.

  2. Excellent reflection.
I repeatedly find it extraordinary what conditions and manipulations my mind invents between the innocent moment of the heart being inspired to give a gift, especially of money, and the hand moving to fulfill it. Even in a matter of seconds!

Our culture would have us believe that if we earn enough money through mutual exchanges (bee-honey, Joors above) our life will then work out. We'll be able to then do what we want and fulfill our destiny. There's nothing wrong with the process of linear, mutual exchange but this is but the tiniest part of the way nature works and as a representation of the basis for life itself is certainly an illusion. In actuality we're no different to other animals and plants that are nurtured by and give themselves to further other plants and animals, unconditionally in a much larger chain. The singular difference to plants and animals is that we've been conditioned to feel we need to "earn a living" (i.e. mutual exchange) and so give it central importance. They obviously haven't been. The notion itself was simply one of the inventions at the time of the industrial revolution to draw people from the fields into the new but unpleasant factories; to manufacture material comforts for all.
It's "consume by…." date is imminent!

    • PeterK: we not only have been conditioned to "earn a living", but also turn things in nature that are free into commodities that can be sold, such as bottled water for instance……

  3. Nature play a big role in human, but there's nothing wrong with the process of linear, mutual exchange but this is but the tiniest part of the way nature works and as a representation of the basis for life itself is certainly an illusion.

  5. Money is also the unofficial entity that we ultimately follow for our survival itself. Which is why money itself, is given a less favorable light given the human flaw of greed and avarice.

  6. I love the idea of the Love money posted elsewhere on this site. Could we not unconditionally give Money as a Gift as well. All is One.

  7. Hey there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m having a hard time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

  8. Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of any widgets I could add to my blog that automatically tweet my newest twitter updates. I’ve been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like this. Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and I look forward to your new updates.
