About Hein de Kort
Hein de Kort (1956) is probably Hollands most productive cartoonist.
He began his career as a cartoonist for ‘De Waarheid’, the newspaper of the Dutch Communist party. Although it was not because he was a true communist. "If the Telegraaf had asked me first, I would have also said yes, " he says. At de Waarheid, however, he met Ger Wulften, who would become his first publisher.
He draws his inspiration from everything he encounters. That could be a world-changing event, but also very small every day happenings.
